The master chocolatier Mirco Della Vecchia began his career in the chocolate world by winning several national and international confectionery competitions.┬áThe passion for artisanal chocolate has led him to produce pralines, creams, tablets and other products in a fair and equitable manner in his chocolate factory in San Gregorio nelle Alpi (Belluno), buying cocoa directly from South American producers.┬áHis latest initiative is the launch of “Cioccolaterie Mirco Della Vecchia” franchised chocolate shops, real “temples” of homemade chocolate.

The story of Mirco Della Vecchia, a student at the D. Dolomieu hospitality school in Longarone, begins with a great passion for pastry. With the light-heartedness of his twenties, he decided to start his own job as a pastry chef.

After five years of management of pastry and ice cream, Mirco Della Vecchia participates in several international competitions dedicated to the world of chocolate.

His great ability led him to become Italian chocolate champion in 2007 and 2008. Also in 2008, he received three bronze medals at the Olympic Games in Erfurth, Germany, and, above all, always in the Olympic context, he won the overall victory of the trophy “best dish decor”, in front of over three hundred fierce chefs and pastry chefs of international fame.

Since 2006 he has dedicated himself more determinedly to the production of handmade chocolate by combining the latter with coffee and cocoa roasting. All pursuing the goal of the short chocolate chain and keeping the spirit of the true craftsman alive right from the raw material.

Today Mirco Della Vecchia is a rapidly expanding craftsman at national level, which produces both chocolate and high quality coffee, on its own and for various brands and wholesalers. The chocolate maker’s attention is always focused on the latest market trends, which he combines with a solidly traditional and traditional production.

At the end of 2010 the headquarters of his chocolate factory was transferred from Limana to San Gregorio nelle Alpi, in the splendid setting of the Belluno Dolomites. Here Mirco Della Vecchia has always lived with enthusiasm and conviction the association life of the CNA (National Confederation of Crafts), first in the province of Belluno and then in the Veneto Region, with the role of Regional President of the CNA Food. The wide range of Mirco Della Vecchia products fits into the modern market scenario combining product quality and sustainability.
